Wyview

I want to start something new with this blog. I want to specifically choose something about BYU to discuss and describe and delve into every week. Maybe, just maybe, I can paint a picture of what it feels like to be here experiencing this place. I know so many people that are cynical about BYU. Why?? It is a place where people love the Lord, where education is treasured and where people really love!

Today I want to write about: Wyview Park

I know I've talked about it in the past but not very much in detail. I guess this will be my farewell to this lovely place. Its hard to think that I wont be returning to the same apartment, the same roommates, the same ward this year.

Wyview is the best:) I wonder if everyone feels this way about their freshman housing. If you are considering where to live on-campus please, seriously look into this place. I know it is further off of campus. I know it seems like this is a deal breaker. But ill break it down for you in another way.

Number 1: It is way cheaper.
Number 2: Despite being cheaper, it is way nicer and way more spacious! Also, maintenance is wonderful (trust me, thats important)

Number 3: There is a shuttle that runs from here to campus; it takes fifteen minutes MAX
Number 4: It is close to Cafe Rio, the Dollar theatre, the climbing wall, a yoga studio, a beautiful waterfall, the football stadium
Number 5: You go to church in a real church building
Number 6: 3 or 4 people per apartment (so much room!!)
Number 7: The wards are fantastic!! Also, a lot more RMs go here (if you're interested in that kinda thing haha)
Number 8: There is a creamery just outside your door pretty much, and the laundry place too!
Number 9: Its basically like living off-campus, but you get all the benefits of on-campus living like an RA, RHA activities and dances etc. This also means that when you move into off-campus housing in your second year you are way more prepared for what that entails
Number 10: Home is home. There is a separation between campus life and home life which is great.
Number 11: Its a little bit quieter than other on-campus living; this is really nice for weeknights and on weekends its easy to find people to spend some time with

Thats all I can think of for now. I will just once again encourage you to choose Wyview! Its only open to single students for a few more years (perhaps only one?). It is well worth it.
